<description>To whom it should concern,I recently purchased a new 2008 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited from Empire Chrysler Dodge Jeep - Wilkesboro, NC. This is my 5th. Jeep I have purchased and the 2nd. New Rubicon, my other is a 2003 Rubicon.
My total experience of buying this vehicle was the worst I have ever had! I planned this purchase with JOSH HARROLD AND CHRIS SHEETS mostly Chris. We planned this purchase over the phone everything was in place for a punctual purchase. I live 5 hours from this dealer and chose them, for a improved deal than I could receive in Wilmington Nc. @ Neuworth Jeep. After the drive and arriving at the dealership things got messy. First the main salesman CHRIS SHEETS was not on site. JOSH HARROLD was too busy, to properly greet his new vehicle purchaser at all, so he threw me the keys to the prospected jeep and said go ride around for a while. When I returned he was still clambering around doing everything but providing me with any type of attention. This was particularly disgusted since Chris and I arrange to have all paperwork ready to sign and the vehicle ready to go do to a 5 hr return trip!
This was certainly not the case! Once Josh and I started the transaction he awared me to the fact their Finance person was also off, and he was not proficient with the process. He began the financial papers, taking breaks to ask others for help in the preparation for the sale. One of the most disturbing things was he was chewing tobacco during this process and spitting it into a trash can at his feet! This is not a sign of professionalism and I would not expect anyone would appreciate this vial behavior. He tried to finish the paperwork but could not! He declared that the finance mngr. would finish the paperwork and promptly mail it to me.
Next he brings me out to the vehicle; I asked why the navigation system didn’t work! Josh and a service man spent the next 20 minutes arguing if it took a cd to navigate or not. The problem was never resolved he told me to call tech. support the next day; however he did not have the info for me to do so. He then promised to call me the next morning with all the info I would need to assist with the com link to my jeep. I waited all day and no call was ever made or received from this sub-par sales staff. So I called them at 5pm. knowing it was after the hours again for any tech support. He apologize, he forgot to call! Nothing was ever done to remedy the problem! He then offered NO orientation to my new vehicle, he simply stated “do ya have any questions,….it’s a JEEP you know its bad ass”. Being thoroughly disgusted with the whole purchase I said “I have an owner’s manual, don’t I. So I ask for my keys so I could leave, he handed me 1, with a puzzled look on my face I ask should I not have a spare key. He smiled and said “well ya but we can’t find it”. Prolonging the agony more they started to look for it. After what seemed like an hour they decided to cut a new key, so they did and I was on my way home. Later I took my Jeep to my home town jeep dealer and within 3min they knew the nav. system was faulty. They ordered me a new one, now that’s service and knowledge at work!
If this all was not enough the entire staff was not inviting, cordial or pleasant I believe this is a direct reflection of their management staff. I have never witness any organization so complacent and completely inadequate! This dealership is an embarrassment to the Jeep name.
I have finally received all my paperwork for my Jeep “I hope” but I am quite concerned as I have received no info from marine federal credit union , my lien holder, I hope this three ring circus of a dealer processed my financing correctly.
I hope whoever receives this letter at Chrysler Jeep looks at this dealership closely, I would never recommend anyone, for any reason, use Empire Chrysler Dodge Jeep – Wilkesboro for any vehicle related needs “purchasing or mechanical”. I am thoroughly disappointed in my recent purchase experience and I am amazed Chrysler Jeep condones a Dealership like this to represent a product like JEEP.
When this letter reaches your computer please e-mail it to as many other dealers and corporate officers as possible this is not a dealership we ne representing such a great product!
A truly concerned and loyal Jeep owner.
